About City Lickers

City Lickers is for all Lesbians, of all ages and of all styles. It is our goal to have a unified Lesbian Community that embraces our diversity.

Hi ladies and thanks for visiting City Lickers.

City Lickers began in August 2005 after my wife, Nicole and I visited Halliford Station, Gay & Lesbian Farmstay; we went there to write a piece for Queensland Pride magazine and fell in love with the farm lifestyle that seems so far away from the city but isn’t. I wanted to share this treasure with our friends and before long the idea of having a big lesbian camp out was formed and well that just sounded too good not to do.

The name City Lickers is obviously a spin off from the movie “City Slickers” and really is not meant to offend, it is just a fun and affectionate way of referring to our lesbians.

The Big Lesbian Camp Out was such a positive and successful experience that we thought why stop at one adventure?!City Lickers now enjoys a solid reputation for bringing women together for a wide variety of social activities and events. From campouts and snow trips to dance parties and winery tours, City Lickers is your pathway to new adventures, friendships and lifetime memories.

Apart from our events, City Lickers is committed to creating an empowered and informed lesbian community, and as such is proud to share its pool of resources and news with Queensland's lesbians.
